The Channel...

Ahlulbayt TV is the world's first free-to-air, exclusively English TV network dedicated to delivering the pristine message of the Holy Prophet Muhammad and His Holy Household.

Who do we serve?

Ahlulbayt TV transcends all divides, serving Muslims as well as non-Muslims, the religious and the non-practicing, submissive and inquisitive, young, old and everyone in between.

Ahlulbayt TV is a resource for parents seeking help with their children's upbringing, and is where a 76 year-old grandpa can keep connected to the Household he loves and to find inspiration from supplications and recitations.

Ahlulbayt TV is a place where top executives come for fresh daily insight, and is the community a university student turns to for guidance and support.

The university student, the seminary student, the professional globe-trotter, the young parent, the community leader, the online blogger, the curious Non-Muslim, the struggling entrepreneur, the new revert, Shia, Sunni, conservative, liberal, from LA to New York, Dearborn to Miami, Toronto to Vancouver, London to Glasgow, Karbala to Rome, Arab, Indian, white, black – all turn to and rely on Ahlulbayt.

Frequently Asked Questions

A. It is of utmost importance that Ahlulbayt TV adheres to a strict ethical code and Islamic jurisprudence in light of the teachings of Ahlubayt. Hence, everyone working for the channel takes extra care that no religious ruling is broken, plus a team of learned scholars personally supervised and led by Sayed Mahdi al Modarresi maintains a strict monitoring and control system to ensure this aspect is regulated while the channel continues to provide cutting-edge programming suitable for a Western, 21st century audience.

A. Ahlulbayt Television relies on 3 factors to sustain itself (aside from your prayers and divine blessing, of course). These are:
1. The dedicated family of producers, editors, technicians, graphic designers, script writers, researchers, film crew, IT support, and the management, as well as our passionate volunteers across the world,
2. Funding provided by you, the viewer, which may come in the form of small monthly subscriptions, one-off payments, or larger cash donations. These donations represent our lifeline, without which it would be impossible to sustain our broadcast,
3. Advertising and merchandise revenues which cover a small part of our expenses.

A. According to the most conservative estimates, the number of those who follow the Ahlulbayt in the UK alone is at least 300,000. This makes 3000 just 1% of that figure. This is why we're asking for just 1% of the followers of the Ahlulbayt which will allow us to cover roughly 75% of our monthly costs.

A. Your financial support will be used to pay for our immensely high running costs such as satellite bandwidth (which now covers 4 continents), equipment and infrastructure costs, studio rental, production, etc. As we are running on a deficit we need your financial support to continue providing this fantastic service and reach out to millions more people around the world and bring the 'Holy Household into Every Household'.

A. Certainly. What better way to serve Imam Zaman (ATF) than through this fantastic Tabligh initiative?! We have permission to use Khoms funds towards funding Ahlulbayt TV operations from several religious authorities.

A. Australia (and New Zealand) is a wonderful country with a lots of demand for the world's first and only such channel. Right now, there are efforts to bring the channel to that region. However, this depends on whether we can cover our coverage costs locally. We need 313 Partners to pay $50 per month in order to do that. Meanwhile, we are considering our options for the next phase of expansion.
